A true fairytale.

Oh boy, 3:00 am did come early on Friday morning, so I went back to bed until 4:30 am when the magic was just about to start. I was not disappointed. I cried her whole 4 minute walk down the aisle. What a dream... man, I really want to be royal.

Her dress was beyond amazing. It wasn't what I had pictured, but it was the perfect dress for the occasion.

She wore Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and even did her own make-up. Amazing! And everyone is saying that Pippa is so much more beautiful and that she out shined Kate on her big day. I could not disagree more. Kate was absolutely regal all day. She will make a wonderful Queen someday.

What I had pictured Kate wearing in my mind was probably something more like her evening reception gown also designed by Sarah Burton. I didn't even think it was possible for her to look more beautiful but I think with her second look she absolutely out did herself.

Even though this will never happen to me it was so nice to feel like I was a part of the whole celebration. I loved when he finally saw her and he said "you look beautiful," I loved when she walked out on the balcony for the kiss and said "oh wow," but by far the thing that stuck with me the most was when the Bishop of London said these two things:

"Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire" - St. Catherine

"In a sense every wedding is a royal wedding with a bride and groom as king and queen of creation, making a new life together so that life can flow through them into the future" - Bishop of London

So that means my wedding will be royal! Yay!

Did anyone else get up early to watch the wedding?

Tomorrow is the Royal Wedding... Finally!

I am beyond excited to watch the Royal Wedding tomorrow morning... and when I say morning  I mean 5:00am or earlier because coverage starts at 3:00am. I really am going to get up and watch it. These things don't occur too often in a lifetime so it is definitely important to me that I get up and participate.

I finally got around to watching the William & Kate movie on Lifetime that I DVRed. It did not let me down. Though I am sure that 80% of the story was complete fiction, I still really got lost in the love story and then started having jealous feelings towards Kate because I want to be royal.

My only real complaint about the movie was that the actor who played Prince Harry (My favorite Prince. I love red heads.) was not as cute as the actor who played Prince William. Prince Harry is much more attractive in real life and so I wish they would have found a better looking actor to play Prince Harry. Even though he was only in one scene. I am a big Harry fan so I can't help it.

I am beyond excited to see what Kate looks like tomorrow at the wedding. I am sure she is going to be absolutely stunning... and super skinny. Man, I want to hate her but I can't. I just hope the dress doesn't disappoint.

Check back Monday for a Royal Wedding follow up post full of all my opinions of the day!

Moving To-Do List

Moving on your own is tough. Here is my plan of attack on the situation:

- Clean out my closet
- Donate clothes
- Change address with post office
- Change addresses with work, magazine subscription, bank, bills and buddies
- Call and schedule a moving company
- Pack
- Deep clean apartment once everything is out
- Have stuff moved to the new house
- Unpack and organize at the new house

Only 17 days until the BIG MOVE!
Any tips on moving? I need all the help I can get on my first solo move.

Notice Me.

I really enjoy this catchy, crush on boys song. Alexa Ray Joel is beautiful. I have been listening to this song on repeat for months now and had to share. Enjoy.

Royal Wedding Wednesday

Some of the newest updates from my favorite Royal Wedding Blog, The Windsor Knot.

What designer will make Kate's dress?

Kate on a jellybean and pizza? Weird.

William and Kate are registered. But don't send them any gifts.

Also, last night the made for TV movie about William & Kate premiered on Lifetime. I wasn't able to record it because my Monday night TV show line-up is pretty stacked. But it is coming on again Saturday and my DVR is set. Can. Not. Wait.

Home Sweet House

I am almost able to check another thing off my 2011 To-Do List. We have a rent house! Alyssa blogged about it with some pics here. It is such a charming little place and when we are done with it it is going to be just fabulous. Since the home was built about 70 years ago there are quite a few layers of paint and who knows what else on the walls, trim, ceilings, doors, etc. So we, along with Alyssa's family, are putting some sweat equity into the house and repainting almost every single surface plus some other updates. It is amazing what a good sanding and fresh coat of paint can do for a baseboard.

My other favorite part about this house update... lots of to-do lists! It is like my heaven. So I decided to make a master to-do list... Check back for it tomorrow... Or maybe Thursday... (remember I am not letting the blog cause me any more stress.)
